It's tulip time in the grocery store again!  I'll be buying these lovelies every chance I get until they are out of season. We don't grow them well here, our winters are neither cold enough nor long enough.

We had a birthday celebration here recently.(ETA: it was DD's, not mine.  But, thanks!) Pizza, pink cake, pink ice cream, family game night, lots and lots of laughing.

Tomorrow evening I will be headed out to watch/listen to DS perform at a local beach pub.

Lovely, simple pleasures.

Simple pleasures really are the best. Happy birthday! If that's you in the photo--you look so young, it's hard to tell!

Those tulips! They make the heart sing, don't they? Enjoy all the simple pleasures you can get!

Whose birthday? Yours or your daughter's?

Rian: Hahaha! I could only wish I looked that young and that good! Thanks, my friend =-)

JenClair: It was my daughter's 28th.

My son just turned 28 last year :) Where DID all those years go. Your lovely daughter bears a striking resemblance to her mom.
